    Wilderness Survival & Horseback Trail Riding

    Labor Day Weekend 2018, combine Wilderness Survival Training with Horseback Trail Riding in this 3 day excursion. Learn the basics of horsemanship as well as: Fire Making, Water purification, Emergency Signaling, First Aid, Emergency Shelters, and so much more. Explore the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains up close from horseback. With our knowledgable survival instructors paired with the guides from Sacramento's #1 stables - Shadow Glen Riding Stables - this action-packed, hands-on training weekend will be an experience you won't soon forget.

    Note: All gear will be hauled with pack horses, so please keep unnecessary items to a minimum.

    What To Bring: 

    1. Pocketknife or multi-tool with locking blade
    2. Clothes appropriate for horses, the weather, and the outdoors, including close toed shoes and long pants.
    3. Water bottle
    4. Day Pack
    5. Sleeping bag
    6. Headlamp/flashlight
    7. Work gloves for outdoor use
    8. Sun protection/bug spray
    9. Tents are allowed, but students have the option of staying in the actual debris shelter.
